About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a Locum Tenens position in Enola, PA. This inpatient role involves providing clinical anesthesia services for a variety of surgical procedures. The coverage period is from ASAP through December 31, 2026, with a flexible shift schedule of either 5 x 8-hour or 4 x 10-hour shifts. This position is open due to a long-term permanent search vacancy. The agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.

Requirements

  • Board Certified (BC)
  • Licensed in PA
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • PALS certification
  • Experience with General Anesthesia
  • Experience with Adult patients
  • Experience with Pediatric patients
  • Experience with Neonatal patients
  • Experience with Trauma cases
  • Experience with Spinal & Epidural Anesthesia
  • Experience with Regional Anesthesia Surgery
  • Experience with Obstetrical Cases
  • Experience with Neurosurgical cases (Head, Spine)
  • Experience with Open Heart Anesthesia
  • Experience with Thoracic cases (except open heart)
  • Experience with Complex vascular cases (except open heart)
  • Experience with Complex orthopedic cases
  • Experience with Pain management techniques
  • Experience with Post-op epidural
  • Experience with Post-op extremity blocks
  • Experience with Epidural steroid for Lumbar
  • Experience with Epidural steroid for Cervical
  • Experience with Transforaminal (Lumbar, Cervical)
  • Experience with use of x-ray guidance in performance of blocks
  • Experience with Ventilation management
  • Experience with Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
  • Experience with Central Line & Arterial Line placement
  • Experience with PA Catheter placement

Responsibilities

  • Administer general anesthesia, MAC, spinals, and epidurals for a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, OBGYN, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy.
  • Perform preoperative patient assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels during procedures.
  • Manage airway and ventilation, including placement of central and arterial lines as needed.
  • Provide postoperative pain management and care.
