About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a Locum Tenens position in West Reading, PA. This inpatient role involves clinical coverage for a high-volume Operating Room (OR) setting. The coverage period is from August 24, 2026, and is ongoing. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with options for 5x8s or 4x10s, requiring availability 3-4 weeks per month. This is a supplemental coverage need with medical supervision provided. The agency covers travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- PA or IMLC License
- Full-time availability (3-4 weeks/month)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with General, Ortho, Neurosurgery, Thoracic (except open heart), Vascular, Pain management, and healthy pediatrics cases.
- Experience with mitral valve and watchmen procedures.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for surgical procedures in a high-volume OR setting
- Supervise and collaborate with anesthesiologists and anesthesia techs
- Perform pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia care plans
- Monitor patients during surgery, managing acute volume/BP issues and ventilation
- Execute regional and neuraxial blocks, including ultrasound/x-ray guided procedures
