About The Position

Park Nicollet is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) teams, specifically at the Burnsville surgery center. The team provides care for patients aged 10 months to 99+ across 4 Same Day Surgery Centers and 12 operating rooms, with plans for growth. Patients must meet strict criteria for the Ambulatory setting. The role involves performing anesthesia for a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedic, vascular, plastics, ENT, general, GYN, eye, urology, one-level spine, and laparoscopic cases. The Same Day Centers offer a diverse and fast-paced environment. CRNAs at Park Nicollet collaborate with anesthesiologists and are considered valued, empowered, and respected team members.

Requirements

Graduate from a School of Nursing and from a School of Anesthesia
Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Minnesota
Certification by the National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or Board eligible if new hire
Fulfill credentialing requirements, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines
Effective communication skills
Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients
BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in anesthesia or related-field preferred
Participates in one’s professional organization (desirable)
Computer keyboarding (desirable)

Responsibilities

Administer safe analgesia and anesthesia under the supervision of an anesthesiologist or physician
Provide resuscitation services throughout the hospital
Demonstrate an awareness of the objectives of PNHS and the department and participate in attaining those goals
