About The Position

APHMFP - Full-Time/Part-Time CRNA at BID Milton Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Full-Time or Part-Time Location: Milton, MA (approximately 20 minutes from downtown Boston) Facility: Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (minimum 0.6 FTE) Shifts: 10-hour (7 AM – 5 PM) or 9-hour (7 AM - 4 PM) shifts About Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital–Milton BID Milton is a leading community hospital and part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) system. Care Model: Operates under a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team model, where Anesthesiologists work closely with a dedicated group of experienced CRNAs. Case Variety: Provides anesthesia for a diverse range of clinical cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, spine, vascular, urology, GYN, endoscopy, and more As a CRNA at BID Milton, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, medical, or diagnostic procedures. Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and school of anesthesia accredited by the AANA. Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the expanded role of a Nurse Anesthetist in Massachusetts. Certification: Maintenance of NBCRNA certification. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current Massachusetts RN licensure in the expanded role of nurse anesthetist
  • Graduation from a school of anesthesia accredited by the AANA
  • Current CRNA certification and ongoing maintenance per AANA Council on Recertification guidelines and Massachusetts state requirements
  • Ability to make sound clinical judgments with strong analytical, physical, and manual dexterity skills
  • Ability to administer all types of anesthetics using a variety of techniques with minimal direction
  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, nursing staff, and administrative team

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Operative: Conduct thorough patient assessments, review medical histories, and develop individualized anesthetic care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
  • Intra-Operative: Administer general, regional/neuraxial, or monitored anesthesia care; perform airway management; and continuously monitor vital signs and patient stability during procedures.
  • Post-Operative: Manage patient emergence from anesthesia, evaluate recovery, and oversee immediate post-operative care, including pain management.
  • Collaboration: Work harmoniously with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare providers to ensure the highest standard of patient safety and quality.
