About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology at The University of Kansas Health System is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists for PRN shifts. CRNAs are integrated members of the anesthesia care team comprised of more than 100 CRNAs, 65 anesthesiologists, residents and anesthesia technicians. This role offers a broad caseload in multiple surgical specialties including transplant, trauma, ortho, ENT, neurosurgery, OB and hearts, and CRNAs perform a full range of procedures. Available shift options are 10 or 12 hours. The University of Kansas Hospital is a 1045-bed academic medical center and Level 1 trauma center, recognized as one of the top hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. It is known for its Center for Advanced Heart Care, Center for Transplantation, Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, and NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Requirements

  • Successful completion of nursing anesthesia program
  • Certification as a Nurse Anesthetist
  • Eligibility for licensure in the State of Kansas
