Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) - PM shift
About The Position
The Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) supports individuals in recovery from substance use disorders by offering encouragement, understanding, and hope. This role uses lived experience to help others stay engaged in recovery and work toward long-term success. You will work with patients going through withdrawal & rehab, while interacting with all medical and administrative personnel in our center. At Bourbonnais Terrace, you’re more than your job title, you’re part of a family. Here, every patient is known by name, valued for who they are, and supported with compassion and dignity. Our 147-bed Specialized Mental Health and Rehab Facility (SMHRF) is dedicated to inpatient behavioral health, serving adults typically between the ages of 30 and 50. The most common diagnoses we support include severe depression, personality disorders, chemical dependency, and non-violent schizophrenia. Our team takes pride in building genuine relationships and helping each resident on their journey toward psychological rehabilitation, healing, and healthy living. Requirements
- Active Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) credentials
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Experienced with Electronic charting systems - Point Click Care (PCC) preferred
- Ability to physically and emotionally assist in emergency situations, including behavioral emergencies and interventions.
Nice To Haves
- Prior CRSS experience in a behavioral health facility (SMHRF or ICF) is ideal, but not required
