New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center (NYPCC) is seeking Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA) to provide peer support services to patients in treatment and recovery from a substance use disorder. The CRPA will support the clinical team by facilitating connections to recovery resources, educating patients about community services, and delivering non-clinical crisis assistance. This role involves immersing patients in diverse recovery avenues, sharing personal anecdotes to foster empathy, and proactively engaging patients to improve treatment significance and retention. The CRPA will also utilize the EMR system for documentation, participate in staff meetings and supervision, and conduct training sessions for NYPCC staff on recovery trends and resources.
