About The Position

The Temecula Valley Hospital Cardiac Cath Lab Tech is responsible for anticipating instrumentation/equipment for a wide range of simple and complex procedures. Selects appropriate instrumentation, catheters, and supplies consistent with Radiologist's /Cardiologist’s preference. Ensures sterile environment is set up and organized prior to patient's arrival into room. Assists in transportation and positioning of patients.

Requirements

Minimum two years’ experience as a registered Radiology Technologist in an acute care facility
Graduate from a certified school of Radiologic Technology
Active California Radiology Technologist (CRT) license along with fluoro license and active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required.
Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required

Nice To Haves

Interventional Neurology and/or EP experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Anticipating instrumentation/equipment for a wide range of simple and complex procedures.
Selecting appropriate instrumentation, catheters, and supplies consistent with Radiologist's /Cardiologist’s preference.
Ensuring sterile environment is set up and organized prior to patient's arrival into room.
Assisting in transportation and positioning of patients.
Cardiovascular Anatomy and Physiology knowledge
Attention to detail, high level of accuracy
Use of radiologic equipment
Extensive knowledge in the use of an auto injector
Competent at table side scrub in with a physicians on various Cath and/or Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures
Understands the use of an IVUS machine
Solid understanding of English, grammar, and punctuation
Ability to exercise independent judgment on a regular basis
Effective interpersonal skills
