About The Position

Bell & Company, a midsize CPA firm based in North Little Rock, AR, with offices in Conway and Harrison, is seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with recent experience working for a CPA firm. The firm has served clients for over 45 years and is known for its strong leadership and exceptional team that provides outstanding client service. This role focuses on preparing tax returns, with an emphasis on business returns, including complex cases with multiple entities, multi-state clients, non-profits, and trusts. The position requires collaboration, effective communication, and a willingness to learn and improve company processes. The ideal candidate will be professional, positive, dependable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an active license (preferably in Arkansas).
At least 3 years of recent public accounting experience.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, UltraTax, PracticeCS, Engagement, SurePrep, Safesend, Quickbooks (desktop and online).
Professional, positive, and dependable demeanor.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Prioritize work and complete it timely and accurately.
Prepare business and individual tax returns; may do some bookkeeping.
Keep up with tax changes and industry standards by continuing education; professional associations and professional periodicals.
Review returns prepared by Staff Accountants.
Communicate effectively both written and orally.
Develop and maintain excellent client relationships as well as with coworkers.
Represent Bell & Company in a professional and positive way at networking or other professional events.
Assist in training other Staff Accountants as needed.
