About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our MUSA Fiduciary department at Marsh. This role will be based in Urbandale and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of six days per month in the office. The Accountant is an experienced individual contributor who operates with minimal supervision and owns workstreams, projects, or end-to-end processes within Accounting Operations. This role drives accurate execution, resolves complex issues through analysis and experience, influences operational practices, and partners effectively across stakeholders to strengthen outcomes and performance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields
5+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance
Demonstrated experience in accounting operations/finance operations (or similar transaction-processing environment) with the ability to operate independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to own and manage end-to-end processes or projects (planning, milestones, monitoring, delivery).
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, including handling issues that span multiple stakeholders or specialties.
Strong communication and stakeholder partnering skills (internal and external as applicable).

Nice To Haves

Experience developing and implementing process improvements and monitoring effectiveness.
Experience training/coaching peers or junior colleagues in best practices and standard work.
Data and Statistical Analysis & Visualization
Knowledge of business intelligence models and systems: Understanding of Power BI, QLIK, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query

Responsibilities
