About The Position

The Certified Pharmacy Technician supports the daily operations of the pharmacy at Select Specialty Hospital, performing pharmacy tasks and services according to established policies and guidelines. The technician works under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and is able to work independently. This position does not provide direct patient care. The role is based at the Cleveland Fairhill location and is full-time, with compensation of $20–$26 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification, unless required by the state.

Responsibilities

• Pick up drug orders at nursing stations and prepare medications under the supervision of the pharmacist on shift.
• Deliver appropriate medication quantities to the correct patient areas.
• Assist with accurate billing and crediting of patient medications.
• Maintain pharmacy drugs in accordance with the Drug Formulary, including ordering, receiving, storing, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Monitor doses administered according to the Medication Administration Record on the narcotics sign-out record.
• Maintain forms and reports necessary for the control of narcotics and other controlled substances.
• Perform daily pharmacy operations within established policies and guidelines.
