Located at 10031 Nash Road, VCU Health Chesterfield Pavilion will be a four-story, approximately 100,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center and medical office building, bringing comprehensive, patient-centered outpatient care closer to residents in one of Virginia’s largest counties. Scheduled to open in April 2027, the state-of-the-art facility will bring together surgical services, diagnostics, infusion therapy, pharmacy services, innovative care models, and more in a single, convenient location for Chesterfield residents. We are hiring team members now to help build the future of outpatient care from the ground up in one of Virginia’s fastest-growing communities. The Certified Pharmacy Technician III aids pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care services to patients by assisting in the preparation, dispensing, record keeping, transporting, packaging, and compounding of medications for all patients including the following age groups: neonatal, pediatric, adolescence, adult, and geriatric. Under minimal supervision, the Certified Pharmacy Technician III demonstrates consistent mastery, via formal assessment, within a specialized service line, including but not limited to: Automation Specialist – review, test, repair, and maintain pharmacy operating systems, Compounding Specialist – sterile and/or non-sterile medication compounding, Controlled Substance Specialist – maintain inventory and security of controlled substances, Investigational Specialist – prepare and manage investigational medication, Medication History Specialist – assist in the reconciliation of patient medications, Narcotic Diversion Specialist – proactive diversion monitoring of controlled substances, Pediatric Specialist – prepare and distribute complex medications for pediatric patients, Inventory Specialist – maintain accurate inventory controls of medication, Generalized Specialist – maintain, and consistently demonstrate, mastery in all operational areas.
