This position is responsible for maintaining pharmacy systems and technology, including inventory systems and automated medication counting machines. The role involves monitoring inventory levels, calibrating machines, and troubleshooting issues to ensure accurate data and system compliance. The technician will also maintain and track medication inventory, ensuring proper storage, restocking, and rotation. Additionally, the position supports facility operations through reporting and paperwork, ensuring productivity and pharmaceutical integrity. The role promotes the pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting the pharmacist in prescription fulfillment, handling claims and returns, and maintaining a safe work environment. A key responsibility is ensuring the efficient fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in an automated central fill pharmacy to meet daily production and quality goals. This includes using scanners to select products, verifying details, entering expiration dates and lot numbers, labeling prescriptions, and preparing packages for distribution in a fast-paced environment. The technician must maintain the quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by utilizing automated systems, adhering to inventory control procedures, auditing and testing equipment, and managing hazardous waste, recalled, and expired pharmaceuticals. The role also requires compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, and completing work assignments by using policies, data, and resources, while collaborating with others and adapting to change.
