Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician - Hospital Outpatient/Retail - Lorain
About The Position
This role is for a Certified Pharmacy Technician in a hospital outpatient/retail setting in Lorain. The ideal candidate will utilize excellent customer service skills to serve both hospital discharge patients (meds to beds) and regular customers. The pharmacy operates Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with a lunch closure, and is closed on major holidays. Requirements
- High School Degree or GED
- Valid CPhT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification
- Registration with State Board of Pharmacy

Responsibilities
- Providing pharmacy services
- Preparing pharmaceuticals

- Maintaining pharmacy records
- Working as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team under the direction of the Pharmacist
- Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
- Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with the guidelines of the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
- Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
- Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
- Other duties as assigned
