About The Position

Vanderbilt University Hospital is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician PRN for the Inpatient Central Pharmacy on evening shift. This position involves performing tasks within the pharmacy in direct support of a pharmacist, contributing to the preparation and dispensing of medications. The role includes providing customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls, as well as applying departmental processes regarding inventory control. The hours are 2:00pm - 10:30pm, with a requirement to work a minimum of two 8-hour shifts per pay period. This position offers cross-training opportunities across various pharmacy operations, including central pharmacy workflows, medication delivery to Omnicells, and supporting the OR pharmacy.

Requirements

Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered.

Relevant Work Experience
Less than 1 year of experience
Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
Must complete all required training and maintain competency while in a certified technician role as determined by area leadership.

Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.

Delivers medications to Omnicell's.
Supports the OR pharmacy.
