About The Position

At GYMGUYZ, personal training happens wherever our clients need us. Our fitness professionals coach clients in private homes, residential communities, offices, and organizations, creating an unusually varied career for trainers who enjoy working independently while still being part of a professional team. We're expanding and looking for certified trainers who combine fitness expertise, reliability, personality, and exceptional client service. This opportunity offers freedom to build a flexible schedule, variety in training different clients, support from an established company and team, and career development opportunities including paid onboarding, continuing development, recertification discounts, and advancement into Master Trainer and leadership positions. Compensation ranges from $35–$50/hour depending on experience, plus performance bonuses and mileage reimbursement. Health plan and pre-tax retirement/401(k) options are available. The role focuses on coaching clients rather than traditional gym sales.

Requirements

• Current nationally recognized personal training certification — NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, or equivalent
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel locally between appointments
• Confidence using mobile and web applications
• Excellent communication skills
• Dependability and professionalism
• Ability to adapt workouts to individual clients
• Positive energy and a genuine commitment to helping people succeed

Responsibilities

• Coaching a private client in their home
• Developing an individualized strength or conditioning program
• Updating workouts and client notes through our technology platform
• Performing a progress reassessment
• Traveling to your next scheduled client
• Coaching clients with different ages, abilities, and fitness objectives
• Communicating progress with clients and the GYMGUYZ team
• Celebrating milestones and keeping clients accountable
