About The Position

We Care Daily Clinics (WCDC) is a modern facility in Auburn, WA, dedicated to treating addiction with a person-centered, holistic, and evidence-based approach. Our mission is to restore hope and purpose for individuals battling opioid use by removing barriers and promoting healthy living. WCDC is an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) facility that combines FDA-approved medication with behavioral health counseling, creating personalized recovery pathways in a supportive and safe environment. We also offer transportation and family/social support services.

Requirements

  • WA State Certified Peer Support Specialist Trainee credential (required)
  • CPC Certification
  • At least 1 year experience as a CPSS or CPC prior to credential changes
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills
  • Self-identified as a person in recovery from a mental health and/or substance use condition and/or have a family member who has experienced mental health and/or substance use condition
  • Commitment to recovery values including self-determination, peer support, and empowerment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and model professional boundaries

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in clinic, outreach, housing, or group settings
  • Familiarity with harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles
  • Working as a peer support specialist 1000 hours

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate group coverage and clinic-based peer assignments
  • Mentor new CPSS staff and support new peer onboarding and field training
  • Facilitate or co-lead one peer group weekly and provide coverage as needed
  • Report team updates and concerns to the CPSS Supervisor
  • Support CPSS/CPSS Trainee as needed
  • Build recovery-oriented relationships using mutual respect, trust, and lived experience
  • Support members in articulating personal goals for recovery and wellness
  • Provide trauma-informed, culturally relevant, and non-judgmental peer support
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate recovery groups, education sessions, or engagement activities
  • Offer harm-reduction resources, information, and linkage to services
  • Document services provided in a timely, accurate, and ethical manner
  • Maintain peer role boundaries and uphold the DOH Code of Ethics for Certified Peer Counselors
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and represent the voice of lived experience
  • Advocate for the member internally and externally
