Lutheran Social Services of WI and Upper MI (LSS) is looking for a dedicated and passionate Hybrid-Remote, Certified Peer Specialist to join our Family Centered Treatment Team. This part-time role, approximately 15 hours per week, is ideal for individuals driven by the desire to make a real difference in the lives of families in their communities. The FCT Team provides individual and team supervision weekly as part of an evidenced-based model. This position will primarily work with clients navigating substance abuse challenges and recovery, serving Fond du Lac, Columbia, Sauk, and Adams Counties. A Certified Peer Specialist has lived experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges, formal training, and certification in the peer specialist model. They use their lived experience and recovery, combined with skills training and continuing education, to support individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges. Specialists center peer support principles in their work, operating within a defined role and collaborating as part of an agency team. The FCT team is a fully implemented, home-based, evidenced-based trauma treatment model aimed at stabilizing or reunifying families, helping them find practical solutions to keep families together in the community and treat inter-generational trauma. The core belief is that recipients are great people with tremendous internal strengths and resources.
