About The Position
Clarvida is seeking a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to provide peer support services to individuals on their recovery journeys. The role draws on the specialist’s lived experience with mental health challenges and recovery to support people in the community through skill-building, problem-solving, co-leading mutual support groups, and developing self-directed recovery tools. The specialist promotes hope, personal responsibility, self-determination, and education as part of the recovery process.
Requirements
- Must be a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong reading, comprehension, and written communication skills.
- Must identify as a person living with a mental health condition and be committed to supporting others in their recovery journey.
- At least one year of experience in the recovery process or working toward wellness.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Clean criminal background check, with no evidence of abuse, neglect, or sexual exploitation of children or adults.

Responsibilities
- Use lived experience to help others develop and achieve their recovery goals.
- Provide support through skill-building activities and group facilitation.

- Assist clients with setting realistic recovery goals and monitoring progress.
