This position provides supportive peer counseling and advocacy to adult consumers receiving services through a mobile crisis program. The specialist must demonstrate knowledge of mental illness and available community services, as well as the skills necessary to provide appropriate care, including age-related care. This involves assessing and interpreting consumer data to identify individual needs. The role is part of Legacy's State-designated Crisis Intervention Program for Chester County, which provides evaluations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to individuals experiencing psychiatric crises or posing a danger to themselves or others. The position is full-time with various shifts available, including a shift differential for weekend and overnight weekday hours. Reporting to work in inclement weather is required.
