About The Position

This role focuses on processing Certified Payroll, tracking time for Prevailing Wage hourly employees, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and contract requirements. The specialist will generate reports, resolve discrepancies, and support the Prevailing Wage Payroll Manager.

Requirements

Experience with Certified Payroll processing
Experience tracking time for Prevailing Wage hourly employees
Experience generating Certified Payroll Reports
Experience resolving payroll discrepancies
Experience with PayTrax
Ability to interpret complex contract documents, delivery methods and agreements related to construction
Ability to analyze certified payroll, prevailing wage and apprenticeship documents for compliance
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and effectively identify deficiencies
Ability to request additional information when needed
Ability to take appropriate actions
Ability to interact at all levels in the organization
Ability to maintain positive and respectful relationships

Responsibilities

Process Certified Payroll
Track time for Prevailing Wage hourly employees
Follow-up with supervisors for Timekeeping approvals
Generate weekly Certified Payroll Reports and submit to appropriate agencies
Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information in PayTrax
Interpret complex contract documents, delivery methods and agreements related to construction
Analysis of certified payroll, prevailing wage and apprenticeship documents to ensure compliance with governing laws and Labor compliance programs
Interact at all levels in the organization, maintaining positive and respectful relationships
Review and organize information, materials and details independently and effectively identifying deficiencies, and requesting additional information if needed; take appropriate actions
Support Prevailing Wage Payroll Manager with various tasks and projects as required
