About The Position

Build your career with DeSilva Gates Construction, one of Northern California's leading heavy civil contractors. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Certified Payroll Administrator to join our Accounting team in Dublin. This position offers the opportunity to develop specialized expertise supporting public works construction projects, while working alongside our experienced Labor Compliance team. You'll prepare certified payroll submissions, coordinate with subcontractors, and help ensure projects remain compliant with contract requirements. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, priority management, and the ability to learn new systems and software programs efficiently. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicates professionally, takes ownership of their work, and is committed to producing accurate, high-quality results. No direct experience is required for this position. While certified payroll or labor compliance experience is a plus, we place greater value on aptitude, initiative, and a willingness to learn. We are open to considering both full-time and part-time candidates for this position. Scheduling and hours can be discussed based on the candidate’s availability.

Requirements

  • Required to pass pre-employment background, drug and alcohol screening.
  • Available to work on-site during scheduled hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of professional office experience in accounting, administration, project coordination, or a related role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with internal and external personnel of all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, Outlook and Windows.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software, systems, and processes.
  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit certified payroll reports through project-specific compliance software, including DIR, LCPtracker, and Elations
  • Track and resolve missing certified payroll reports and supporting documentation to help ensure project compliance.
  • Monitor subcontractor certified payroll submission status and identify outstanding compliance items that may impact payment processing.
  • Work closely with the Labor Compliance team to ensure timely and accurate certified payroll submissions
  • Assist with additional accounting and compliance projects as assigned
  • Communicate professionally with subcontractors, project teams, and internal departments regarding certified payroll requirements.
