About The Position

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for coordinating with departments to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll. This role involves researching and resolving payroll issues, developing procedures to reconcile payroll, and maintaining the integrity of the HRIS database. The administrator will also process employee status changes, check requests, mandatory withholdings, and pay adjustments. Additionally, the position entails generating and distributing HRIS management reports, preparing W-2s, and training department timekeepers. Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in payroll administration or related accounting functions
  • At least one year of supervisory or lead-role experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience processing payroll for 2,000 employees or more
  • Proficient with spreadsheets
  • Experience with MS Office

Nice To Haves

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation
  • Experience with municipal payroll systems
  • Experience with labor agreements
  • Experience with government payroll regulations

Benefits

  • Full Pay Range $6,209 - $8,752 Per Month
