We are currently seeking a Certifed Payroll Specialist for our West Region, full time in-office role out of Irvine, CA

Requirements

  • Must have 1-3 years of labor compliance experience working in California (Construction industry a plus)
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Knowledge in standard concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Previous work experience in a fast-paced team environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of California state labor and payroll compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of Union requirements/agreements
  • CPR certification a plus
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization. Capable of managing projects and tasks successfully to completion
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • In-depth understanding of labor rules and regulations
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Working knowledge of LCP Tracker, or similar
  • Knowledge of MS office

Responsibilities

  • Submit certified payroll for organization and subcontractors
  • Audit certified payroll for organization and subcontractors
  • Prove understanding of Certified payroll, California labor law and collective bargaining agreements
  • Manage all reporting deadlines with each agency and ensure certified payroll is submitted in a timely manner
  • Track, collect, and enter data into internal and external payroll systems as needed
  • Filing and scanning payroll documents, per project and legal requirements
  • Ad hoc reports
