As a Medical/Surgical Float Nursing Assistant you will provide patient care throughout the facility to include Med/Surg, PCU, Critical Care, ED, ICU and etc. You will also provide support as needed filling in as a sitter/companion and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC). Clinical Care Operations is the hub of patient management for the campus, including: bed assignment, unit staffing (scheduling, balancing, casual labor utilization), house supervision, emergency preparedness (code events and internal disasters), patient transports, dispatch, and data analysis. Several employee groups report to this department, including clinical positions such as RN House Senior Managers, SWAT RNs, and Resource Team (RNs, NAs, PCAs, HUCs, and BHTs) plus non-clinical roles such as Office Supervisor, Transport Supervisor, Dispatchers, Placement Reps, and Information Specialists. This role will be based out of Banner Heart Hospital, but will require you to float and work at Banner Baywood Medical Center as needed. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. This position is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical records and provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
