Certified Orthotic Assistant (COA) or Certified Prosthetic/Orthotic (CPOA)

Shriners Children’s is seeking a full-time Certified Orthotic Assistant or Certified Prosthetic/Orthotic Assistant for their location in Woodbury, Minnesota. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Successful completion of Assistant Certification Eligibility Requirement Pathway 1 or Pathway 2 as required by American Board for Certification Assistant Candidate Guide
- Two years of orthotics experience
- Two years of prosthetics experience
- ABC Registered Assistant
- Must hold or be eligible for MN licensure
Responsibilities
- Measurement, casting, CAD modification, fabrication, and fitting of orthotic and prosthetic devices under the direct supervision of an ABC Certified Practitioner.
- Timely and compliant patient documentation using the OPIE EMR system.
- Supporting front office staff.
- Monitoring work-in-progress (WIP) and device repairs.
- Assisting other clinical staff.
- Directing technical staff in the fabrication of specific devices, ensuring an organized workflow and reasonable delivery dates for patients.
