About The Position

Shriners Children’s is seeking a full-time Certified Orthotic Assistant or Certified Prosthetic/Orthotic Assistant for their location in Woodbury, Minnesota. Shriners Children's is a premier pediatric orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties clinic. The pay range for this position is $26.61 hourly to $39.91 hourly, with compensation determined by years of experience and department equity.

Requirements

HS Diploma/GED
Successful completion of Assistant Certification Eligibility Requirement Pathway 1 or Pathway 2 as required by American Board for Certification Assistant Candidate Guide
Two years of orthotics experience
Two years of prosthetics experience
ABC Registered Assistant
Must hold or be eligible for MN licensure

Responsibilities

Measurement, casting, CAD modification, fabrication and fitting of devices under the direct supervision of an ABC Certified Practitioner.
Timely and compliant patient documentation utilizing OPIE EMR system.
Supporting front office staff.
Monitoring WIP (Work In Progress) and device repairs.
Assisting other clinical staff.
Directing technical staff in fabrication of specific devices following an organized and orderly work flow with reasonable delivery dates to patients.
