About The Position

AOT, Inc., a leading provider of pediatric, school-based services in southwestern Pennsylvania, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work full-time with school-age students in two school districts (Monroeville, Murrysville). The position begins in mid-August for the 26-27 school year. AOT, Inc. has over 40 years of experience in school-based therapy and is dedicated to enhancing students' lives through high-quality educational therapy services. They prioritize therapist work-life balance, offering support through experienced Educational Therapy Managers and a Peer Mentor Program. AOT, Inc. stays current with educational practices and fosters strong relationships with universities and community groups through its Clinical Fieldwork Program and service projects.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited OT/OTA educational program.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant License
  • Passion for working with children and a clear dedication to helping them maximize their potential
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional desire to be a collaborative team member, learn and grow

Responsibilities

  • Direct therapy with students in preschool to grade 12
  • Consultation with teachers, other therapists, support staff, and families to facilitate classroom mobility and participation.
  • Documentation requirements include data collection, marking period progress updates, yearly IEP revisions; including updated goals and treatment strategies.
  • Attendance at IEP meetings is recommended.
  • Some travel may be required throughout the school day
