About The Position

PruittHealth is seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to help patients improve functional abilities, increase independence with daily activities, and enhance their quality of life. The role is based at a skilled nursing facility in Pensacola, Florida, and supports post-acute care, rehabilitation, and therapy services. The COTA implements treatment plans under occupational therapist supervision and collaborates with patients, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team. Compensation is up to $100,000 annually, based on experience, schedule, and location. The position is scheduled PRN.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.

Nice To Haves

Experience in rehabilitation or post-acute care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under occupational therapist supervision.
Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
Guide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve independence.
Observe and report patient progress to the Occupational Therapist.
Complete timely and accurate documentation.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
Support interdisciplinary care planning and treatment goals.
