As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at Aegis Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional home health and end-of-life care to our patients.

Requirements

Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
Current Licensed, registered of Certified in the state of practice
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with different types of personalities
Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement
Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
Valid Driver's License (clean record) & reliable transportation.
Proof of current auto insurance & registration
Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
Current CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test)

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Address patient's performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality
Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions
Consults with OT regarding change in treatment.
Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures.
Participates in in-service education.
Assists in preparing clinical and progress notes.
Improves or minimizes residual physical impairments of the patient.
Teach patient's new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
Performs services planned, delegated and supervised by the OT.
Assess patient's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
Guide and educate family members and caregivers
