About The Position
PruittHealth is hiring a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at PruittPlace - East Cobb, an assisted living facility in Marietta, Georgia. The COTA helps patients improve functional abilities, become more independent with daily activities, and enhance their quality of life. The role implements treatment plans under Occupational Therapist supervision and contributes to interdisciplinary care planning and patient treatment goals.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
- Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Foreign-trained applicants must possess credentials deemed substantially equivalent by the applicable credentialing organization.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in rehabilitation or post-acute care is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living and functional tasks.
- Guide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve independence.
- Observe and report patient progress to the Occupational Therapist.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
- Support interdisciplinary care planning and treatment goals.
