About The Position
Absolute Rehabilitation and Consulting is hiring a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Altercare Wadsworth in Wadsworth, Ohio, averaging 25 hours per week. PRN opportunities are also available at multiple facilities, with no minimum hourly requirement and weekday and weekend hours available. Team members may pick up PRN hours as needed. The COTA carries out treatment plans designed by an Occupational Therapist, helping patients improve their ability to perform daily tasks. The role includes assisting with therapeutic activities such as exercises, cognitive training, and adaptive equipment use; monitoring patient progress and sharing feedback with the supervising Occupational Therapist; and fostering a supportive, engaging environment that encourages patient participation. Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist to improve patients’ ability to perform daily tasks.
- Assist patients with therapeutic activities, including exercises, cognitive training, and use of adaptive equipment.
- Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the supervising Occupational Therapist for plan adjustments.
- Foster a supportive and engaging environment that encourages patients’ participation in therapy.
