About The Position

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for Vibra Hospital of Fargo, a 31-bed critical care hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. The hospital provides acute care to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. The position is 20 hours per week and offers work in a fast-paced, friendly environment where staff get to know patients and their families. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides and directs occupational therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, documentation, and communication. The position functions under physician’s orders.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
Successful completion of the National Certification Examination for COTA.
Current, valid, active license to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of employment.
Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
Ability to project a professional image.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
