About The Position
Mission Valley Post Acute is a premier 5-star Medicare-certified skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Our in-house therapy program fosters strong clinical collaboration and allows our team to provide the highest level of rehabilitative support to our residents. We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our PRN therapy team.
Requirements
- Current and active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans focused on activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide direct occupational therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates or changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Accurately document treatments, responses, and progress notes
- Educate residents and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety strategies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment, including equipment upkeep
