Shift Days vary; 8:30 am-5pm Scheduled Weekly Hours 0.4 POSITION PURPOSE: Treatment to include, but not limited to: ADL, home accessibility, UE, ROM, strength, sensation, endurance and coordination deficits, splint/orthotic fabrication, UE prosthetic training, self-help evaluation and instruction, neurological facilitation and inhibition techniques, soft tissue massage and mobilization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Under direction and supervision of an OT, treats pediatric to adult patients as ordered and reviewed by a physician. Educates patients, families and caregivers in treatment and expected outcomes. Provides timely, personal supervision of support staff. Provides In-Home services to patients as ordered. Documents treatment and reports patient progress and response to OT and physician as needed. Promotes profession and department through participation in in-services, health fairs, trade shows, community presentations and community service organizations. Participates in the performance improvement process by identifying opportunities for improvement and taking action to improve patient care services. Assists clinical instruction of COTA students through university affiliations. Supervises job shadow and high school student interns. Performs other related duties as assigned.
