Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active, unencunmbered COTA license in South Carolina (required)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassion for an underserved population
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a long-term care or rehab setting preferred
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as directed by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with improving activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Follow physician treatment plans and therapy goals
- Document daily treatments and weekly progress notes in accordance with regulations
- Monitor and report patient progress to the therapy team
- Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Help maintain a clean, safe therapy environment
- Assist with training Restorative Aides as needed
