About The Position

OrthoUnited is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at our Spectrum Campus location in North Canton on a PRN basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of orthopedic specialists dedicated to helping patients restore function, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional care.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current Ohio Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous outpatient orthopedic or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
Assist patients in improving functional abilities, strength, coordination, and independence in daily activities.
Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and timely.
Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises and home programs.
Communicate effectively with therapists, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding patient care.
Maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies in accordance with clinic standards.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
