About The Position

American Senior Communities is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at Allisonville Meadows for a full-time position of 30 hours. In this role, you will use clinical skills to promote residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being and build meaningful relationships by learning about residents’ and staff members’ life stories. The role includes a structured nine-month mentorship program and a supportive environment with experienced therapy leaders.

Requirements

• Hold a current and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in Indiana.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
• Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.

Responsibilities

• Promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of residents using clinical skills.
• Conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and other facility teams to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
• Promote teamwork within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
• Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
• Support a respectful and positive work environment.
