About The Position

As our Assistant Occupational Therapist, you will provide designated occupational therapy-related services as outlined in the patient's plan of care, all under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Every day you will deliver care and service to a diverse patient population, ranging from acutely ill to rehabilitating individuals across neonatal through geriatric age groups. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate a profound understanding of the functional and/or developmental age of each individual served, ensuring the provision of compassionate and effective therapy that supports their unique needs and promotes their recovery and well-being. Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care. Identifies self by name and title to patient/family. Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive. Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified. Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee. Establishes presence of consent prior to treatment/procedures.

Requirements

  • Diploma Graduate of an School of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Training, upon hire
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Prior OT experience
  • Orthopaedic Technologist Certified, upon hire
