About The Position
A respected skilled nursing facility in Fremont, California, is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its rehabilitation team. The role offers a supportive team environment, mentorship, and resources for career growth, and provides the opportunity to help patients improve daily functioning and achieve therapy goals. New graduates are welcome. This is a direct-hire, permanent-placement position scheduled Monday through Friday. The estimated pay range is approximately $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience, setting, location, and status.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current California license or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-care focus.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans under occupational therapist supervision.
- Assist patients with daily living and functional activities.
- Document patient progress and communicate updates to the occupational therapist.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques.
- Support the rehabilitation team in achieving patient goals.
