About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) treats patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses, providing compassionate care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This is a full-time position in Fort Myers, Florida, with Monday–Friday, eight-hour shifts. Compensation is $27.00–$40.00 per hour, based on years of experience, and the position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certified BLS, or completion within the first 90 days of employment, as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor patients’ responses to treatment and modify treatment during sessions as indicated, in collaboration with an Occupational Therapist.
• Complete appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
