About The Position

Soundly Speaking is seeking passionate and committed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to serve adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) within the Houston area. As the #1 adult IDD therapy provider in Texas, Soundly Speaking works closely with dayhab staff and families to serve clients ages 21 and up. The role involves providing high-quality therapy in clients' homes and communicating progress with families and case managers. This is a W2 Part-Time position that has the potential to become a Full-Time position over time. Requirements

Ability to learn on the job and utilize and augment provided materials.
Associates degree in an accredited program for Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants.
Valid Texas-issued Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant License.
Comfortable working with adults in their homes and/or outside of a clinic.

Responsibilities

Traveling to clients' homes and providing individually tailored therapy.
Documenting therapy visits.
Contacting families and case managers to share updates.
Adjusting therapy to ensure progress towards client goals.
Provide high quality therapy in the client’s home.
Communicate with families about the therapy sessions.
Communicate weekly with families about goals and progress.
Communicate monthly with case managers.
Turn in paperwork within a 24-hour timeline.
Maintain confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA, State, and Federal Regulations.
