About The Position

Apollo Home Healthcare is hiring a full-time or part-time/per-diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services to patients in their homes in Alameda and/or Contra Costa Counties. The COTA helps patients regain independence and improve daily functioning while working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and in coordination with a dedicated healthcare team.

For a limited time, the hiring bonus is $2,500 for a full-time COTA or $1,250 for a part-time/per-diem COTA. The bonus is paid in part after completion of the first independent patient visit, with the remainder following 90 days of active employment. Visit and reimbursement rates vary by visit type and employment status (1099 or W2); rates may be adjusted in the future, with employees notified of changes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Active California COTA license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
• Home Healthcare experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Kinnser/Wellsky EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home occupational therapy visits under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe movement.
• Document visits in WellSky/Kinnser in a timely manner.
• Communicate patient progress and concerns to the care team.
