About The Position
Post Rehab is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Requirements
- Active New York Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Help residents improve performance with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and functional tasks
- Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment, and safety strategies
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to achieve the best possible resident outcomes
