About The Position

Under general supervision of the Occupational Therapist and according to established policies and procedures, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists in providing Occupational Therapy services. This includes, but is not limited to, the implementation of treatment based on the plans and goals established by the Therapists. The COTA is also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Associate program for the Occupational Therapy Assistants
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure by the state of Florida

Responsibilities

• Assists in providing Occupational Therapy services
• Implements treatment based on the plans and goals established by the Therapists
• Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital
