About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Baytown, TX. In this role, you will collaborate with a licensed Occupational Therapist(OT) to deliver high-quality care, supporting children in achieving their developmental and functional goals. Your expertise will help enhance daily living skills, motor function, and overall independence for our pediatric clients.

Requirements

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification by the NBCOT
Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy
Active state license in Texas to practice as a COTA
Strong communication and collaboration skills with a commitment to patient-centered care
Passion for helping children achieve developmental milestones.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid Certification
Experience working with pediatric or outpatient populations

Responsibilities

Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the OT, focusing on motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence.
Monitor and document client progress, providing insightful feedback to the OT for treatment adjustments.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of interventions and outcomes while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
Educate and support families by teaching therapeutic techniques and exercises for continued progress at home.
Ensure the therapy environment is clean, organized, and equipped with properly sanitized and functioning tools.
