About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Baytown, TX. In this role, you will collaborate with a licensed Occupational Therapist(OT) to deliver high-quality care, supporting children in achieving their developmental and functional goals. Your expertise will help enhance daily living skills, motor function, and overall independence for our pediatric clients.

Requirements

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification by the NBCOT
  • Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active state license in Texas to practice as a COTA
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a commitment to patient-centered care
  • Passion for helping children achieve developmental milestones.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Experience working with pediatric or outpatient populations

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by the OT, focusing on motor skills, sensory integration, and functional independence.
  • Monitor and document client progress, providing insightful feedback to the OT for treatment adjustments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of interventions and outcomes while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Educate and support families by teaching therapeutic techniques and exercises for continued progress at home.
  • Ensure the therapy environment is clean, organized, and equipped with properly sanitized and functioning tools.
