About The Position
Post Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, helping them improve independence and confidence in their daily activities.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with activities focused on self-care, upper extremity function, coordination, balance, and daily living skills
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed to support functional goals and independence
- Reinforce adaptive techniques, therapeutic exercises, and compensatory strategies established by the OT
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
