About The Position

Pacific Coast Post-Acute in Salinas is seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their premier rehabilitation team. As a leading teaching facility, they offer mentorship and world-class resources for professional growth. The role involves executing individualized treatment plans, providing skilled treatments, tracking resident progress, collaborating with other therapists, and educating residents, families, and staff. The facility boasts one of the largest rehab gyms in the region and a fully functional ADL Suite.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current, valid California COTA License or certification.
  • A passion for geriatric care and a desire to grow within a supportive, professional team.

Responsibilities

  • Execute individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed OT, focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and functional mobility.
  • Provide skilled treatments using adaptive equipment and specialized techniques to help residents reach their maximum potential.
  • Closely monitor resident performance and provide accurate, timely documentation to the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team.
  • Work alongside Physical and Speech Therapists to deliver a holistic, coordinated approach to patient recovery.
  • Instruct residents, families, and nursing staff on maintenance programs and safety techniques to ensure a successful discharge.
