Requirements

  • Active and valid California COTA license
  • Passion for working with seniors in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual resident needs

Nice To Haves

  • SNF or geriatric experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support residents in improving functional independence through individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborate closely with the Occupational Therapist to implement effective and engaging treatment strategies
  • Encourage participation in therapeutic activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being
  • Accurately document treatment sessions and resident progress in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
