About The Position
Macomb Post Acute Care Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This is an excellent opportunity to help residents regain independence and improve their quality of life while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience is preferred but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity strengthening, coordination, balance, and functional mobility
- Carry out individualized treatment plans designed to maximize independence and safety
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
